On July 4, Seals the Silk Roads—Exhibition of Works of Seal Carving of Cities' Name along the Silk Roads was held at Xi’an Jiaotong University Museum by the ICOMOS International Conservation Center-Xi'an (IICC-X).

On June 22, 2014, the transnational nomination of "Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang'an-Tianshan Corridor" proposed by China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan achieved success and the heritage has been inscribed on the World Heritage List since then. In the same year, Fu Haixiang, deputy director of the Zhongnan Seal Art Association, engraved 86 seals in six months, recording the names of 86 cities in 19 countries along the ancient Silk Roads in the form of Chinese seal carving art.

A total of 122 pieces of seals, divided into three classes, were on display, including the above-mentioned 86 seals of city names, 3 seals of the names of Zhang Qian, Ban Chao and Xuanzang, who had made outstanding contributions to the development of the ancient Silk Roads, and 33 seals of the World Heritage sites of "Silk Roads: the Routes Network of Chang'an-Tianshan Corridor. They have recorded the glorious past of the ancient Silk Roads in the art of Chinese seal cutting.

On July 15, the IICC-X held a lecture on the art of seal carving to the public jointly with Xi'an Jiaotong University Museum under the framework of the “Cultural Heritage Promotion Season”, and invited students from Xian Jiaotong University to enjoy the lecture.

Feng Jian, executive deputy director of the IICC-X and Zhao Daliang, director of Xi'an Jiaotong University Museum delivered speeches before the lecture. Fu Haixiang, deputy director of the Zhongnan Seal Art Association, introduced the profound cultural stories behind the Silk Roads seals in simple language, and carved a seal reading Xian Jiaotong University on the scene. His skilled craftsmanship amazed the audience and gained wide acclaim from the university students and calligraphy and seal amateurs.
