June 18, the exhibition entitled “Reconstructed Grottoes and Murals
of Kizil in Overseas Collections” opened at Luoyang Museum. The
exhibition represents the artist value of Kizil murals through the
display of digitalized and simulated images that are generated from
high resolution photos of 137 murals from Kizil, as well as the 1:1
reconstruction of Kizil Cave 14. At the same time, the section named
“Digital Mutual Interactive Space of Art in Kizil Grottoes and the Silk
Road in a Millennium” simulated images of Caves 38, 118, 110, 67,
and 117 through the application of VR, projection and other digital
tools. It allows the audience to experience the mural art immersively
and interactively. The exhibition lasts till July 14.
