The "Shared Culture and the Unified Desting-Xinjiang
Cultural Relics Exhibition" jointly organized by the
National Museum of China and the Museum of Xinjiang
Uygur Autonomous Region, opened in Hall 1 of the
National Museum of China on 9th July . The exhibition
was divided into three parts: "the Embryonic Form of the
Silk Roads", "the Chinese Chapter of the Silk Road" and
"the Sanskrit of the Silk Road". A total of 191 pieces
(sets) of exquisite cultural relic s unearthed in various
regions of Xinjiang from the pre-Qin period to the Song
Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty were selected, including
pottery, metal, textiles, wood, paper, Buddhist statues,
glassware and so on, especially the official bamboo slips
documents of the H an and Tang dynasties and other
documents of bamboo slips in many languages.
The National Museum of China said that the "Shar ed
Culture and the Unified Desting-Xinjiang Cultural Relics
Exhibition" was also another cooperation after the "Tianshan,
Ancient Road, Cultures of East and West -Xinjiang
Silk Road Cultural Relics Exhibition" and "Xinjiang
Ancient Clothing Exhibition." It was hoped that through
authentic cultural relics, in the form of an exhibition, it
showed the historical facts of the common cultural connection,
the blending of blood, and the connection of fate
between Xinjiang and the mainland, and further proved
that Xinjiang was an inalienable part of the motherland.
The exhibition will last until September 9.
