Cultural industry shall be legally protected when “going global”
Lu Pengqi, Vice Chairman of CCPIT made the comments as he was attending a seminar in Shenzhen with regard to international cultural industry policy along the Belt and Road route on May 9.
“Cultural trade has been an essential part of the global trade. It is of great significance for China to develop cultural industry, which has brought economic and social benefits to the country. Currently, China’s cultural industry has good opportunities but also faces severe challenges when going global. Therefore, legal protection is a priority in the process. We will push forward intergovernmental policy coordination, provide enterprises with positive feedback, offer better policy, commercial legal services, information service for the better development of the cultural industry,” added Lu.
As a sideline event of the 14th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, the seminar mainly discussed about the challenges of China’s cultural industry in its overseas development and the necessity of legal protection in this process.
The seminar was hosted by CCPIT and organized by CCPIT Department of Legal Affairs, CCPIT Commercial Legal Service Center and CCPIT Shenzhen Sub-council.
