Recently ,in the southern suburbs of Xi’an,our archaeologists excavated a tomb of the Northern dynasties, where Tuyuhun Princess and her husband are buried. This important archaeological discovery provide a valuable material for the national history reaserch of Northern dynasties Western Wei, Tuyuhun and Rouran.
   According to Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology , the excavation of the joint burial tomb is located in Chang ' an district, Da Zhao Xiang Township, Guo Zhuang village. The tomb faces south, in the shape of the Chinese character”中” with a 42-meter sloping tomb passage, there are four patio and four holes. Tomb from the ground about 10 meters deep, divided into the front chamber and rear chamber. The East and West walls of front chamber painted with colorful murals, due to a serious collapse , only the top star chart is clearer .The rear chamber only found two human bones because of rushed water, according to the residual amount of buried coffin gray, it should be a wooden coffin. Burial objects are mainly distributed in the front chamber with a total of 166 pieces of burial objects. The objects included bronze ,stone, pottery tomb guardians ,warriors, all kinds of horse and rider, various standing terra-cotta figurines and epitaphs and so on.
　　"According to the contents of unearthed two co-stone epitaphs , the owners are Tuyuhun Huihua Princess and her general husband. Since her husband ‘s epitaphs written in cinnabar book, words fell off to be unclear. Princess’s epitaph engraved with regular script, content shows that she was born in Northern Wei Jingming four years ( AD 503 years ), died in Western Wei Datong seven years ( 541 years ) .” Liu Daiyun, the director of the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology Sui and Tang department, based on the burial information and concluded that Princess is Queen's aunt ,who is wife of Western Wei Yuan Baoju , and her sister is Queen of the Rouran. “From the current point of view of their relationship ,Tuyuhun and Rouran get along very good”.
　　Tuyuhun is an ancient country located in the Qilian mountains and valleys in the upper reaches of the Yellow River during the Western Jin dynasty to the Tang dynasty ,the animal husbandry economy mainly engaged in animal husbandry, large number of horses, cattle, sheep, goats, camels, used to have large exports to the Mainland. Archaeological experts say that the Tuyuhun tombs can be rarely found in Shaanxi nowadays, such high-grade Princess tomb was discovered for the first time.

Western Zhou dynasty Bronze bell was discovered in Nanzheng County

Recently,Nanzheng Heritage Tourism Organization invited Shang and Zhou archeology experts Yue Lianjian and Ding Yan from the Shaanxi Provincial Archaeological Institute, to come to Nan Zheng to carry out on-site investigations, research and identify about recently unearthed Bronze bell cultural relics.
　　The bell is 37.5 centimeters in height with a maximum diameter of 21.5 centimeters. It weighs around 9 kilograms with a thickness of 0.8 centimeter. Preliminary research goes to mid-Western Zhou Bronze bell from the form of quality ,decoration, casting and other characteristics. According to the continuation of Nanzheng County records, the excavations are “ Historian Beach , Green Dragon pond",Guangxu decade as " horse camp dam" , also known as " horse camp set” , the damage was caused by HANJIANG River flood , now it became “holy water town and blue annals village” due to historical changes. Shang and Zhou archeology experts Yue Lianjian and Ding Yan from the Shaanxi Provincial Archaeological Institute analyzed Bronze bell was buried nearby.
　 Bronze bell is musical instruments in the period of Western Zhou dynasty. also a necessary instruments when people offer sacrifices, which is one of the main functions of the Western Zhou Bronze bell. The unearthed bronze bell in Hanzhong Nanzheng was discoverded for the first time , it is rare ,also known as the " National Treasure “. It has witnessed the brilliant achievements in the history of ancient music and records the social facts in Hanzhong, it has a very high value for the study of ancient Hanzhong political, economic, social and life.

Bronze Bell is now in the custody of Shengshuisi Cultural Relic Administration ,the bronze relics have been sent to the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology for conservation and restoration.
