An unusual ancient coin was discovered among 100,000 others recently unearthed from the Haihunhou tomb in eastern China's Jiangxi province, iFeng.com reported on Jan. 9.




A source said that about 2 million Wu Zhu coins weighing more than 10 tons were unearthed, and 100,000 have been sorted so far. Surprisingly, the character on one coin was found to have been carved upside down. The source added that considerably more time is needed to sort through the rest of the coins, although half a year has been spent on the task already.
