• ISTANBUL DECLARATION ON THE PROTECTION OF WORLD HERITAGE

We, members of the World Heritage Committee, gathered in Istanbul today on 11 July 2016 on the occasion of its 40th session, declare the following:

• New Inscription of World Heritage List 2016

• Zuojiang Huashan rock painting named a world heritage

The Zuojiang Huashan rock painting, from Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has been listed on the World Heritage List at the UNESCO World Heritage Committee's 40th Session in Istanbul, Turkey, today.

• Significant achievements of excavations and surveys of ancient Koguryo Mountain City, Liaoning Province

Ancient Koguryo Mountain City is located in Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province and situated at the foot of a mountain. It has a general plane of Chinese character “凸” and a perimeter of about 6000m.
