The Archaeology Institute of UCL and Northwest University (NWU) launched a joint “NWU-UCL Silk Roads Archaeology and Heritage Centre” on April 13 in Northwest University, China. Both university will cooperate in various aspects such as research and teaching and the teachers' capacity building, aiming for an international research platform.

In recent years, the Archaeology Institute of UCL and the Cultural Heritage Institute of Northwest University have actively cooperated in student education, scientific research and teachers’ internation- alization. The establishment of the Centre will further promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
