Kazakhstan archaeologists excavated another "Golden Man" mummy in a burial mound in East Kazakhstan, KazTAG reported on August 6.

The KazTAG historical archaeology working group held a press conference in Uskaman City, the capital of East Kazakhstan, on August 6 local time. Professor Zeinolla Samashev, leader of the excavation project, pointed out that the tomb where the "Golden Man" was unearthed was well-preserved with all gold funerary objects in the tomb undamaged, which belonged to the Saka peoples of the 8th century BC.

Professor Samashev said that it was the second well-preserved "Golden Man" unearthed in Kazakhstan after the first one was excavated nearly 50 years ago. Moreover, it was estimated that the newly found Golden Man” was about three centuries older than the one unearthed in Almaty.

According to Samashev, the tomb owner was a young man aged from 16 to 17, and it was worth mentioning that beside the boy’s tomb there was an adult’s tomb which had unfortunately been “ransacked” by grave robbers. " Obviously, they did not notice the tomb of the child."
