Seven ancient tombs dating back 1,600 years have been discovered ineastern China's Nanchang city, capital of Jiangxi province, according toNanchang Museum.
The tombs were discovered during the extension of Badashanren MeihuLake, a major tourist destination, said Hu Zhen, curator of the museum.
"According to the structures of the tombs, and bricks with inscriptionsinside them, we believe they belong to one family," said Hu.
But due to grave robbery and collapse, only 54 cultural relics have beenunearthed so far, making it difficult to identify the tomb owner, Hu said.
