The Jade Seal of Liu He Exhibites for the First Time
The over five-year long archaeological
excavation of the tomb of Haihunhou (Marquis of Haihun) has completed, reported
by CNR News of the Voice of China. Liu He, who used to be an emperor of the Han
Dynasty, King of Changyi, and Marquis of Haihun, was the owner of the tomb. This
morning, “Stunning Discovery-- Archaeological Exhibition of the Haihunhou Tomb”
was officially launched in Jiangxi Provincial Museum.
“Stunning Discovery-- Archaeological Exhibition
of the Haihunhou Tomb” opened at 9.30 am this morning. Before the opening time,
there was a long queue waiting in front of the museum. Some citizens said that
Marquis of Haihun has now become the cultural symbol of Jiangxi, so they came
early in the morning to visit the exhibition. Until now all visits are in good
order.
According to the report, the exhibition is
located on the 1st floor and the 2nd floor of Building 1 in Jiangxi Provincial
Museum, with a total area of 2300 square meters. The 1st floor is designated to
be the preface hall, and 2 floor the main exhibition hall. Following the plot
of discovery, excavation, cultural interpretation, character interpretation, and
facing the future, the exhibition is divided into four parts – “the amazing
discovery of the marquis state”, “the awe-inspiring manner of the marquis”, “the
owner of Liu He”, and “conservation and sharing". A total of 922 artifacts
are on display, doubling the number of artifacts exhibited at the Capital
Museum in Beijing at the beginning of the year. A variety of cultural relics
are covered, including bronze wares, ceramics, gold wares, and jade instruments.
In particular, the jade seal of Liu He and his
personal jewels recently unearthed from the main coffin, such as gold wares and
jade instruments, are on display for the first time, in order to have these
exquisite cultural relics closely appreciated by visitors.
To ensure a pleasant visit and reduce the queuing time, Jiangxi Provincial Museum adopts a strategy of free charge but non-free pass, which means that visitors need to reserve tickets in advance. The maximum daily visitor carrying capacity is 4000, 2000 in the morning and 2000 in the afternoon. Visitors can only book real-name tickets, with their name, ID number, ticket amount, and date registered at least one day ahead. The disabled, pregnant women, soldiers and citizens of 60-year-old and above can receive tickets with their own valid credentials via fast access on the visiting day.
