River in the northwestern suburb of present-day Xi’an,Shaanxi province. The city enjoys a favorable geographic position with Qin Mountains, Zao River and Wei River

respectively to its south, west and north. The Guanzhong Basin in which the city was located was an important traditional farming district of China and one of the cradles of the Chinese civilization.
