Experts attend symposium in Xinjiang to examine historical settlement

A stoneware unearthed from a settlement is seen in Wenquan county, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Aug 20, 2017. More than 50 experts from State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the Institute of Archaeology of the China Academy of Social Sciences and Peking University attended a symposium in Wenquan county, recognizing that the settlement consisting of tombs and ruins of residential structures dates back to 3600 years ago. Items and structure ruins unearthed in the settlement since 2016 offered important value for people to learn about the history and culture of the Bronze Age. [Photo/Xinhua]
