HAZRATI SHOH COMPLEX

Complex Hazrati Shokh (Langarbobo, Shohpodshosh, Hazrat Bobo) in Chorkuh unique monument of wooden architecture and art of woodcarving related to the 10th-12th centuries. This famous complex was formed on the basis of the mausoleum of Hazrat Pasho Mir Hamza.

It is an ancient mosque decorated with the famous carved tree in the form of a small wooden balcony. Monument amazes not only the layout in the form of loggia-balcony, but also the carved details columns, consoles, panels and other elements of the design. They dominated without a background deep thread floral ornament. Attractive to attention is architrave beam, lying on columns, decorated on the outside and inside with a carved inscription in the handwriting of "Kufi" with numerous "knots of happiness", loops and ornaments, and the recessed background is covered with a pattern of ornamental roots and leaves. Above the architrave-frieze are eight magnificent carved consoles, closely resembling fantastic birds with "beaks". Each console with a general similarity is individual, has its own drawing and image. Effective set of wooden panels, installed between the architrave-frieze and consoles. They in their purpose and design have no analogies in the art of Central Asia, i.e. they are unique in their kind. This unique monument recently attributed to the memorial type of buildings is called the kingdom of the magnificent carved wood.
