With exceptional digital techonologies, the Eternal Sites exhibition offers an unprecedented immersive experience at the heart of four major archaeological sites of the universal heritage: the ancient capital of King Sargon in Khorsabad (Iraq), Palmyra  (Syria) the ancient city of Damascus (Syria) and the Crac des Chevaliers  (Syria). A series of major artifacts from these threatened sites, as well as extraordinary archival views, paintings and photographs conserved at the Louvre and other French collections, complete this experience which aims to raise the general public's awareness of the notion of Heritage in danger.

This Free exhibition is organized by the Réunion des musées nationaux-Grand Palais and the Louvre Museum in collaboration with Iconem,  under the patronage of UNESCO.

Sites inscribed on the List of World Heritage in Danger by UNESCO: Site of Palmyra, Old City of Damascus, Crac des Chevaliers and Qal'at Salah El-Din (Syrian Arab Republic).
