The Zhongshe Pagoda,located in Zhongshe Village,JiaodaoTown,Chengcheng County, was built during Chenghua period in the Ming Dynasty(1465-1487),more than 500 years ago,and was renovated through time to time.
It is a 5-storeyed 4-edged pavilion-style hollow brick pagodaof 22 meters high and 5.3 meters wide of the lowest storey. It has pavilionroof. The pinnacle has been destroyed and the pole is left. The door in theground storey faces north. There are arch doors in the east and west sides onthe second storey and in the north side of the third storey. The other sides ofthe third storey are set with niches. On the four sides of the fifthstorey,there are arch niches. Outside the pagoda,"Sunzhen Cave" wasengraved on the north side of the second storey and “The high peaks rising inemerald verdure" on the north side of the fourth storey,and “Sunrise andsunset” on the north side. The body of the pagoda is kept relatively in goodcondition.

四稜五級楼閣式の中空煉瓦塔で、高さは22メ一トル。最低層の辺長は5.3メ一トルであ る。攒尖式の塔頂、塔刹は壊れたが、刹欄が残つている。最低層の塔門は北向き、二層の 東西にア一チ式の門が開かれている。三層の北にア一チ式の窓が開かれ、その他の三方は ア一チ式の龕が開かれている。五層の四面にみなア一チ式の龕が開かれている。塔身外壁 の二層の北面に ‘孫真洞’ というレンガ刻があり、四層の南面に‘層恋聳翠’ というレン ガ刻あり、北面に ‘朝暉夕陽’ を刻んている。塔は全身的に完全に保存されている。
