In order to improve the monitoring and management of the world heritage sites of our city and popularize the knowledge of world cultural heritage reporting and monitoring, Xi'an World Cultural Heritage Monitoring and Management Training Course, which was hosted by Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics and undertook by Xi'an World Heritage Monitoring and Management Center, was held at the Shaanxi Military District Guest House on September 9. The participants are the heads and chief operating officers from the legacy management units of 5  world heritage sites including the Ruins of Chang'an City, The Ruins of Daming Palace and the Wild Goose Pagoda and 10 sites included in the World Heritage Tentative list in China such as the City Wall of Xi'an, the Ruins of the Ming De Gate, the Ruins of Xing Qing Palace, as well as 12 sites listed in the“the Working Plan for Applying the World Cultural Heritage of Shaanxi Province”such as the Bell Tower , the Drum Tower, the Chinese Buddhism Zuting, the Fenggao ruins, the Ruins of Epang Palace, Duling Mausoleum , the Chinese Buddhism Zuting and the Qin Shu Road.


Ren Tanglong, director of cultural relics department and Xi'an World Heritage Monitoring and Management Center first introduced the basic facts of the center and reported the inspection result of the monitoring and management of the world cultural heritages in 2016. Zhou Ping, dean of Shaanxi Academy of Cultural Heritage, presented the technical specifications of applying for the World cultural heritage and“the Working Plan for Applying the World Cultural Heritage of Shaanxi Province”. Sun Zhenqiang, vice manager of Vastfar Technology Co. Ltd., analyzed the application of the monitoring system of the Xi'an section of the Silk Road. Zhao Jing, vice dean of Shaanxi Academy of Cultural Heritage introduced the development and management of the world heritages. Wu Chun, director of the Cultural Relics Bureau of Daming Palace, illustrated the protection and management of the large heritages of the country.


  Experts presented the terrific and lively training courses for the participants who seriously listened and took notes. Although time was short, they all had a great time and achieved desired results.
