关于西吴壁遗址
西吴壁遗址位于山西省绛县古绛镇西吴壁村南，地处绛山与涑水河之间的缓坡地带上，南距中条山约6千米。2004年，中国国家博物馆等单位开展运城盆地东部区域系统调查时发现该遗址，知悉其为一处包含夏商冶铸遗物的重要遗址。2018-2021年，中国国家博物馆与山西省考古研究所（现山西省考古研究院）、运城市文物保护研究所（现运城市文物保护中心）合作，在西吴壁遗址揭露出丰富的夏商冶铜遗存，为理解夏商王朝的崛起与控制、开发、利用中条山铜矿资源之间的关系提供了重要的实物资料。
2020年，西吴壁遗址被评为中国考古学“六大”新发现、“2019年全国十大考古新发现”。
