The Aihanum Ruins, located in the northeast of Kundus City, Afghanistan, is a typical Greek-style city in the area ruled by the Kingdom of Baktria. It is also the easternmost Alexandria in Asia, including the remains of gymnasiums, temples, aristocratic residences and other buildings. Archaeological excavations have unearthed coins, inscriptions, and rich buildings and Sculpture fragments. The site of the city was built in the 4th century BC. The whole city is triangular, with a length of about 1.5 kilometers from east to west, 2 kilometers from north to south, and about 12 meters high around the surrounding walls. It is a military site that is easy to defend and difficult to attack. Later, it was abandoned in 145 BC.
The picture shows Aihanum Column Square, located in the central palace area of Aihanum Ruins. The abundant unearthed cultural relics and the remaining huge pillars all show the grandness of the city at that time. In late autumn, people walk in the center of the square, exploring the charm of cultural convergence thousands of years ago.
