缅甸历史文化遗产震后速报
引言 | Foreword
2025年3月28日发生的7.9级强震致使缅甸遭遇重大损失,据央视新闻与新华社最新通报,截至4月10日,缅甸28日发生的强震已造成3649人遇难,另有5018人受伤,约145人失踪,我们向所有遇难者致以沉痛的哀悼。地震也对缅甸曼德勒-实皆-内比都沿线众多的文化遗产造成了毁灭性打击,约有150座寺庙和宝塔损毁,曼德勒皇宫、马哈牟尼佛寺、梅努寺、阿瓦大桥等重要建筑损毁严重或变为废墟。数百座佛塔、寺庙坍塌,人类共同文化遗产存续正面临严峻考验。
为此,亚洲遗产管理学会特发布系列“缅甸历史文化遗产震后速报”,呼吁全球社会关注缅甸历史文化遗产的珍贵价值及震后损毁情况,共同守护人类文明的瑰宝。

01 遗产概况
劳卡塔拉普佛塔(Lawka Tharaphu Pagoda, လောကသရဖူ ဘုရားကြီး),位于缅甸位于因瓦古城(Inwa)外城北部,GPS坐标为北纬21°39′51.5″,东经 95°59′19.1″。其基座长宽均为126英尺,整体高126英尺。佛塔始建于东吁王朝晚期(18世纪初),由国王坦宁甘韦(Taninganway, 1689–1733)发起建造,于1730年开始修建,但国王在佛塔完工前去世,由他的儿子达玛雅尔迪帕迪国王完成了佛塔的建造。
佛塔曾多次遭受地震的损害,2011年地震时,钟形穹顶和伞顶向西倾斜,佛塔的托管委员会对这些损害进行了修复。
作为因瓦古城的重要宗教遗址,佛塔的建造跨越两代君主,反映了东吁王朝后期的宗教建筑艺术与王室信仰。

02 建筑特色
劳卡塔拉普佛塔基座由三个可通行的方形平台组成,每个平台都有独特的装饰。第一和第二平台的四个角上摆放着角形陶罐,而第三平台的四个角则分别有一个小型佛塔。基座的四个角上矗立着人狮混合体的神话生物雕像。每侧都设有楼梯,供人攀登。基座与三个平台部分涂有白色石灰涂料。
塔的上部包括钟形穹顶、塔尖和装饰。钟形穹顶上雕刻着食人魔花卉图案,而塔尖由11层环形锥形结构组成,顶端装饰着钻石花蕾金伞。塔尖涂有金色油漆。

03 损毁情况
由缅甸当地群众拍摄的震后照片显示,劳卡塔拉普佛塔在此次缅甸地震中遭受了严重破坏。基座和塔身的结构大规模坍塌,塔的墙体出现明显裂缝,砖石散落一地。穹顶部分完全塌陷,塔尖的金色装饰和结构也已倒塌。周围的装饰性元素也被摧毁,导致佛塔的外观和艺术价值遭到极大损失。

Post-earthquake Express News on Myanmar's Historical and Cultural Heritages
Foreword
The 7.9-magnitude earthquake that struck on March 28, 2025 caused heavy losses to Myanmar. According to latest reports from CCTV NEWS and the Xinhua News Agency, as of April 10th, the strong earthquake that struck Myanmar on the 28th has resulted in 3649 deaths, with another 5018 injured and approximately 145 missing. We extend our deepest condolences to all the victims.
The earthquake also dealt a devastating blow to numerous cultural heritage sites along Mandalay - Sagaing - Naypyitaw region, with about 150 temples and pagodas damaged. Important structures such as the King Palace, Mahamuni Pagoda, Me Nu Oak Kyaung, Innwa Bridge have suffered severe damage or been reduced to ruins. Hundreds of stupas and temples collapsed. The survival of the common cultural heritages of mankind is facing a severe test.
To this end, the Asian Academy for Heritage Management has released a series of "Post-earthquake Express News on Myanmar's Historical and Cultural Heritages", calling on the global community to pay attention to the precious value of Myanmar's historical and cultural heritages and the damages condition after the earthquake, and jointly protect the treasures of human civilization.

01 Heritage Overview
Located in the northern part of the outer city of the ancient capital Inwa, Myanmar, the Lawka Tharaphu Pagoda (လောကသရဖူဘုရားကြီး) stands at GPS coordinates 21°39'51.5"N, 95°59'19.1"E. The original donor of the stupa is King Taninganway (1689–1733). The stupa was built in 1730 but the king died before the stupa was not finished and his son King Dhamayardipadi finished building the Stupa. The stupa was damaged by the several earthquake and during the 2011 earthquake affecting the belle shaped dome and the umbrella was leaned to the west and the trustee committee of the stupa maintained the damages. As an important religious site in the ancient city of Inwa, the construction of the pagoda spans two generations of monarchs, religious architectural art, and royal beliefs.

02 Architectural Features
The stupa is based with 3 accessible square shaped terraces. The base of stupa is decorated with the 3 layers of Lotus and the ogre floral motif can be seen on the bell shape dome. The spire part has 11 ringed conical spire topped with a diamond bud golden umbrella. The mythical creature (Manusiha) man-lion hybrid statues are placed on the corner of the base of the stupa. The 1st and 2nd terraces were decorated with corner urn on the 4 corners and the corner stupa can be found on the 3rd terrace corner on each side. The stairways is provided to climb up on each side of the stupa. The base up to the 3 terraces is painted white lime wash and the spire is painted with the gold paint.

03 Damages Condition
Post-earthquake photos taken by local residents reveal that the Lawka Tharaphu Pagoda suffered severe damage during the Myanmar earthquake.
The structure of the base and the main stupa body collapsed on a large scale, with visible cracks appearing on the walls and bricks scattered everywhere. The dome completely collapsed, and the golden decorations and structure of the spire also toppled.
Overall, the stupa's main body, spire, and dome were all severely damaged, while the surrounding decorative elements were destroyed, resulting in a significant loss to the pagoda's visual appeal and artistic value.
