On D ecember 18, the press conference on the achievements of "Xuanquan Han Dynasty Bamboo Slips" and "Yumen Guan Han Dynasty Bamboo Slips" was held in Lanzhou, Gansu province. The two books are the latest major achievements of the G ansu Jiandu (Bamboo Slips) Museum, which will bring new academic growth to the historical research of the "Belt and Road", and provide first-hand information for the Silk Road research . Both of the two works are published Zhong Xi Publishing House, the "Xuanquan Han Dynasty Bamboo Slips" were completed by the Gansu Jiandu Museum, the Gansu Provincial Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology, the Advanced Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Shaanxi Normal University, and the Unearthed Document Research and Conservation Center of Tsinghua University. The "Yumen Guan Han Dynasty Bamboo Slips" were completed Gansu Jiandu Museum and other collaborating institutions. In the "Xuanquan Han Dy nasty Bamboo Slips (Volume I)", the preface recorded the entire process of discovery, excavation, and research of the Xuanquan post house site and the Xuanquan Han Dynasty bamboo slips, the appendix included a list of discoveries including their siz e, material and written date. These are all high-quality original materials for the academic research of the topics suc h as the Han Dy nasty, Northwest China, and the Silk Road. The "Yumen Guan Han Dynasty Bamboo Slips" includes all 729 pieces of the Han-Jin Dynasties bamboo slips unearthed from various fortification and outpost sites in Dunhuang, which are archived in the D unhuang City Museum over the past year s, it has a significant influence on the study of Dunhuang area and the Yumen Pass’s functions and roles on the Silk Road. |
