Forum “Humanitarian Security in the Modern World: Challenges and Practices for the Conservation of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Central Asian and Russia” organized in cooperation with IICAS took place in Kazan (Tatarstan, Russian Federation) on, 26-28 July 2019. The main organized of the forum was the Institute of International Relations of Kazan Federal University. During the forum the research fellow of IICAS Madjer Massanov madethe presentation “Serial Nominations for the UNESCO World Heritage List as an Effective Tool for the Conservation of the Cultural Heritage Sites of Central Asia”, where he illustrated the main current and future initiatives for the nomination of the serial cultural heritage sites of Central Asia for the UNESCO World Heritage List, as well as the main advantages provided by this approach to the nomination process.
On the second day the participants of the forum have visited the unique museum of the archaeological wood situated on the territory of the island of Sviyazhsk. Museum is demonstrating the wooden planning and replicated the daily life of the city in XVI-XVIII centuries.
