The meeting with the delegation of the Silk Road International Project was held.

The 43rd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee is running on in Baku. 
Within the framework of the session there will be arranged business appointments of delegations from different countries and organizations, suggestions concerning mutually beneficial cooperation will be discussed as well. 
As reported by AZERTADZH, Deputy Minister of Cultural Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic Sevda Mamedaliyeva has met with the delegation of the Silk Road International Project. 
The Head of the UNESCO World Heritage Center of Asian countries and the Pacific Ocean Feng Jing, Director of the China National Heritage Center of the Chinese University Kung, Vice-president of the ICOMOS Chinese department Lui Jo and Director of the International institute for Central Asian studies Dmitriy Voyakin have taken part in the meeting.    
Sevda Mamedaliyeva told about Azerbaijan culture and influence of the Silk Road on it.   
She made the point that this project plays an important role not only in the development of trade and economy, but also in cultural relations, and in the process of intercultural exchange. This project has had its impact on culture of the participating countries of the Silk Road. Nowadays we make an invaluable contribution in the intercultural dialogue. In our opinion, development of the Silk Road international project is of great importance in regards to establishment and strengthening of peace between the countries.     
The Secretary General of the National Commission for UNESCO, the ambassador of Azerbaijan Elnur Sultanov, has expressed interest in the close participation in this project and pointed out that a number of practical collaboration platforms were discussed. 
Visitors expressed satisfaction with their attendance in Azerbaijan. It is being noted, that the Azerbaijan Silk Road takes an important strategic location in terms of cooperation with the Pre-Caspian countries. It was also reported that there will be taken all necessary steps to provide for close participation of Azerbaijan in the Silk Road International Project and our country will obtain regular assistance in this area.
