　　Title-leaf & 33 plates, 12 in color, some with multiple images, loose as issued in cloth & boards portfolio. 63x8x51.5 cm. (25¼x20½").

　　The paintings were "Recovered and Described" by Stein, one of the great archeologists, or, some say, grave robbers of Central Asia in the first half of the 20th century. There was a text volume, not present here. De-accessioned from the Pacific School of Religion, with rubberstamps in the plate margins.

　　《The Thousand Buddhas（千佛）》，斯坦因第二次探险（1906～1908年）时，从莫高窟窃取的壁画佛像图录，出版于1921年。前面是论文，图录在后半。
